Jan Halama

Jan Halama has been practicing law since 1999 and was admitted to the Czech Bar in 2002. For nearly 10 years Jan Halama worked for Allen & Overy, Prague, one of the top international law firms. During this time, Jan Halama has lead on a number  of major corporate transactions and due diligence exercises, and has gained experience in the fields of M&A and privatisations, real estate transfers, joint ventures, acquisition and development financing, international arbitration and other forms of commercial transactions. He has been involved in acquisitions in the energy, water utilities sector, banking and advertising sectors and has advised a number of clients on various environmental issues connected with sales or acquisition of real estate in the industrial or property development sector. He also has experience in the area of EU and Czech greenhouse gasses reduction and emission trading legislation and spent six months on secondment in London working on transactions in the energy sector. He founded Halama Legal law firm in 2009.
